NSAI: Keni at #10, Song Contest and more

***Keni Thomas is #10 in the GAC Top 20 this week...thanks to you again. Keep voting, let's keep him there.
***Kerry Kurt Phillips...songwriter that was in Columbus in May for a workshop and concert at The Loft will be at Swallow at the Hollow Friday and Saturday nights. He ask if any of our group is going up...Kim and I are going. Let us know if you are interested.
***NSAI/CMT Song Contest has started. Check either NSAI or CMT for details. You do not have to be a member...prizes are great.

The 9th Annual CMT/NSAI Song Contest launches Friday, Aug. 1! The contest boasts exciting prizes designed to help unsigned songwriters on the road to becoming professional hitmakers. This year's prizes include professional mentoring, recording sessions and single-song publishing contracts from major Music Row publishers like Curb Music, Montage Music Group, Skyline Music Publishing and others. Among our previous Grand Prize winners are Tracy Naples(2002 - label development deal with DreamWorks), Jesse Terry (2003 - publishing deal with MASville Music), Zane Williams (2005 - publishing deal with Big Yellow Dog Music), Charlie Worsham (2006 - his band, Kingbilly, is signed to a publishing/recording deal with Chrysalis Music) and Diana Kelley (2007 - her winning song has been signed with Wood Newton Music). This could be your year! Entries will be accepted until Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008.
